Asset losses do not mean that the asset is lost on the blockchain, but rather that the user loses control of the asset. The most important thing to avoid asset losses is to back up the important information of your wallet and keep it safe.
Private Key and Recovery Phrases
The most important information of the digital wallet is the private key and recovery phrases. Once they are lost, the control of the wallet will be lost, and the assets in the wallet will be lost forever.
When creating a wallet, users need to save recovery phrases and complete the second authentication before using the wallet. Huobi Wall
et suggests that users use physical/offline storage, and save recovery phrases through multiple secure channels. To ensure wallet security, please follow the principles below:
- Don’t scan unknown QR codes or visit unknown links;
- Do not share your security information with anyone;
- Don’t take screenshots or photos to save the private key or recovery phrases;
- Don’t use wallets or export private keys or recovery phrases under an insecure situation.
When entering Huobi Wallet for the first time, users need to set up a security password. Huobi Wallet reminds users to make a backup of the security password. Huobi Wallet does not support the retrieval of the security password.
If you forget the security password, your only recourse is to try entering the security password multiple times. Do not delete the Huobi Wallet APP until you enter your security password successfully, otherwise your assets will not be retrieved.
